A noob question
Hey...
I've always loved Guild Wars and always wanted to play it... Love the videos/pics and always stalk these forums.. Now I plan on buying it. Here's the deal. I got 2 other friends (WoW quitters) and we wnat to play GW. So I was wondering if each one of us buys a chapter..(different chapter) e.g. Me-Nightfall Friend1 - Prophecies Friend 2-Factions Is it possible to create account each (1 for each of us) and share the data (the other chapters combined) Do you get what I'm saying. All in all. I want to know if my friend can use Nightfall that I have created account on and installed for his account and vice versa Thanks! |

No, you won't be able to do that. Access keys are a one-use deal.
You may be able to pick up all 3 chapters as a package deal at Sam's Club for $50. If you each decide to just get one chapter, See the sticky "Player on a Budget..." for the pros and cons of each chapter. I'd recommend Prophecies, as it's the first and with it comes quests that give you skills as rewards, much easier on the in-game wallet. Also, it's a bit more closely tied to the expansion GW:Eye of the North that just came out. |

Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are all stand-alone games that all run through the same basic game client. Access keys determine which campaigns, professions, skills and other game content that you will have available to.
And as Kook said, access keys are a single-use thing. Once you use a key it becomes permanently bound to your playing account and nobody else can use it. You and your friends will all have to buy your own copies of each game so that you all get your own access keys. You could use the in-game store to buy keys, although I've found the prices there to be rather expensive. You will get a much better deal by going to a video game retail store; odds are you'll find Prophecies and probably Factions in the bargain bins there (I got my copy of Prophecies out of a bargain bin last year - probably the best deal I've ever got on a video game). |

you could add all the keys onto 1 account and share it and you would have all campaigns

I don't understand...
Isn't that against rules to share 1 account. But anyways... If I add all the keys to one account, only one of us will have to have the game on the computer and it'll be a pain.. I live in Kuwait... and here it is $50 per chapter.. Do I have any other options.... |

If you DID share an account (it is against the rules), you'd have to take turns playing. I'm sure that's not what you want.
Talk it over with your friends and choose one chapter for the three of you to start with and go with that. Good luck and have fun! |
